The 2024 edition of G-STAR is here, as one of the biggest video game trade and consumer events in Korea brings to us some amazing new games to witness and anticipate. Among the lists of all the eye-catchy titles that have been showcased, let’s particularly look at every Mobile Gaming announcement made at G-STAR 2024.
List of Mobile Games showcased in G-STAR 2024
The event is set to reveal highly anticipated titles, from expansive Open World RPGs on consoles to innovative Sci-Fi MMORPGs, with several premieres debuting to the public. I’ll update new games as they arrive.
1. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, the upcoming Netmarble title has once again showcased its gameplay trailer. It was showcased last year at the GDC 2023 as well. This time around, we got an overview of the open world in the game, and looks very vibrant if you ask me. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is currently in development for Console, PC, and mobile and is heading towards a 2025 release.
2. MONGIL: STAR DIVE
Another new announcement arrived with an action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE, as Netmarble is set to release the title on Android, iOS, and PC in the second half of 2025. The game will be a cross-platform action RPG sequel to Monster Taming, featuring enhanced Unreal Engine 5 graphics and a rich narrative. You join Verna and Cloud on guild missions, exploring a vibrant universe filled with unique characters and adventures.
3. Game Of Thrones: Kingsroad
The open-world RPG adaptation of the popular American drama series Game Of Thrones was another highlight of the event. Titled Game Of Thrones: Kingsroad, the game was initially announced back in November 2022 along with a teaser. Just like The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, we got to look at the cinematic trailer of the game, as it is set to launch in 2025 for both PC and Mobile.
4. Project Overkill
ARPG title Project: Overkill by Nexon, which was confirmed to be heading to mobile devices, also showcased the fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the game. Developed by Neople banking on the Dungeon & Fighter IP, a five-minute trailer was eye-catching with the visuals, and we will be having 3D side-scrolling action with the new title.
5. GENSEI ONLINE
Another Nexon showcase was GENSEI ONLINE, a new casual RPG that reimagines the classic Fantasy Fighter IP. Bringing back the retro-graphics art style, the game brings fast-paced gameplay thanks to a newly developed combat system. The game also looks to offer a variety of content, including field bosses, bounty dungeons, and raids, alongside original features like martial arts tournaments and mini-games.
6. Architect: Land of Exile
Won’t be wrong if I say this was another exciting trailer. Architect is an MMORPG featuring a seamless open world made with Unreal Engine 5 graphics. You can freely explore through flying, swimming, and rock climbing, adding depth to the adventure. The game blends dynamic battle action with a rich storyline, starting with the intriguing journey of the Assassin character. An in-game trailer with its vast world and immersive gameplay was showcased at the event.
7. Valhalla Survival
Out of the four games unveiled by Lionheart Studios, Valhalla Survival was one among them. This upcoming hack-and-slash roguelike game for mobile devices is set to launch globally in the first quarter of 2025. Drawing inspiration from Norse mythology, particularly Ragnarok, the game aims to deliver a high-quality experience that balances thrilling, fast-paced action with strategic gameplay elements.
8. Project C
The next mobile project from Lionheart is Project C, a fantasy RPG where you get to mentor students from six countries in a magical academy. The game focuses on collection, training, and turn-based battles where you can raise and customize characters. Training involves choosing subjects, interacting through events, and shaping characters’ abilities and appearances.
9. Dragon Sword
Announced last year, Dragon Sword was another title that was showcased at the titular event. Also known as Project D, the game is set to deliver fast-paced action and an engaging storyline, showcasing Hound13’s expertise. The game promises dynamic battles with seamless character-switching mechanics, bringing together characters for fluid combos and tactical gameplay.
10. Dinkum Together
KRAFTON‘s Dinkum Together was showcased at G-STAR 2024, offering a preview of the mobile version. This relaxing survival adventure will launch on Android and iOS in December 2025. Developed by 5minlab, it builds on the success of the original Dinkum game by James Bendon. You can customize your character, explore a vast world, write books, and interact with animals, making it a perfect blend of survival and exploration simulation.
11. Seven Knights Rebirth
Netmarble also unveiled Seven Knights Rebirth, a fresh take on their beloved 2014 mobile RPG Seven Knights. This remake blends the IP’s strategic battles and iconic characters with stunning 3D visuals and a revamped storyline. You can look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces like Evan and Sylvester. While classic features like raids, evolution dungeons, and the Infinite Tower make a comeback, they’ve been refined for a smoother and more involving gameplay experience.
