More good news for mobile gamers, as a new ARPG titled Project: Overkill by Nexon appears to be making its way to mobile devices. Although nothing has been officially announced, a job posting on the official website of the Korean giant Nexon has caught my eyes.
Project Overkill job posting reveals its future mobile plans
Project: Overkill is an action RPG based on the immensely popular Dungeons and Fighters franchise. Initially, Nexon announced that the game would be coming to PC. However, a new posting has appeared on the careers part of their official website. The job posting specifically mentions that they are looking for a mobile client programmer for Project: Overkill.
Among the requirements stated, the company expects prospective applicants to understand the fundamentals of computer science and experience in developing mobile applications using unreal engine.
Nexon has mentioned that the deadline for applications is on 17th April. Prospective candidates are also expected to have a portfolio of their work to showcase. It is also preferable for candidates to have prior experience in launching native applications for mobile. Interested candidates can go to Nexon’s career page and apply for the job.
Project Overkill is based on Dungeons and Fighters IP
Project: Overkill is a 3D side-scrolling action game announced for PC. Developed by NEOPLE and published by Nexon, the game features various elements from the popular Dungeons and Fighters franchise. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 and will feature; rich, colorful graphics and online multiplayer features. No other details have been revealed about the game yet.
Although no official announcement of the game’s planned release for mobile has been made, the job posting itself may prove that Nexon plans to release the game on mobile devices somewhere down the line. Whether the game will release alongside the PC version or not is unclear, but fans have reason to be optimistic.
