FAUG maker nCore Games invests $1 million in Indian esports startup Newgen Gaming

Great news for Indian gamers!

nCore Games is an entertainment and mobile games development company which is based in Bangalore, India. It gained a lot of publicity when PUBG Mobile was banned by the Indian government along with a lot of other privacy-threatening apps. Seizing the opportunity, the company their own Indian version of the game called FAU-G and it gained a lot of support because it was created in the country itself but eventually failed to impress everyone because of its below-than-average quality upon release. Now the makers have decided to invest $1 million in Newgen Gaming, a start-up based in Gurugram, India.

Newgen Gaming will use the investment by nCore Games to support Indian players

Newgen Gaming operates as the sports domain of the Indian-based gaming startup Penta Esports. The investment marks the first funding for the company and Newgen Gaming plans to use it to expand its team and set of operations to other regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa regions. The company was founded by Anurag Khurana, Kiran Noojibail, Akshay Paul, and Kishanu Ghosal in 2021. They specialize in operating various leagues, tournaments, and gaming-based content.

Their goal is to focus on the e-sports aspect of India and help the creators and athletes to get the opportunities they deserve throughout various games in all genres. nCore Games will be gaining access to a lot of new intellectual properties such as “Esports in 5”, “1v1”, “Koffee with Karan” along with the influence on its legions of fans and other e-sports athletes. 

Penta Esports has launched various leagues already

Penta Esports will surely be taking full advantage of the heavy flow of cash they have received and use it to expand their operations even further than before. They have already launched various new leagues such as Pents Amateur League and the Pents Collegiate League for students of universities and colleges to take part in it. 

Other tournaments such as Penta Invitational, Penta Cup, and Penta challenge are also funded by them. So in conclusion, it is safe to say that both the companies involved will get positive impact and growth through this investment and gain more popularity and love among gaming enthusiasts in the country.
