- FC Mobile officially confirms PlayStyles feature with upcoming beta rollout.
- Limited beta test will be available in select regions later this week.
- Feature includes categories like finishing, passing, defending, and more.
After months of speculation, EA Sports has officially confirmed that PlayStyles are coming to FC Mobile, with a limited PlayStyles Beta set to roll out in select regions later this week. This comes after earlier reports in January hinted at the arrival of the system, and it looks like those leaks have now turned into reality.
PlayStyles add a new gameplay layer beyond the existing Traits system in FC Mobile
For those unaware, PlayStyles were first introduced in EA FC titles on PC and console. So this feature is beyond basic player attributes and traits by influencing how players behave in real match situations, so it will be more powerful when equipped for a particular player.
If implemented fully, this could easily be one of the biggest gameplay updates FC Mobile has seen in a while. Unlike the current Traits system, PlayStyles are more dynamic and activate during specific actions on the pitch, making each player feel more unique and closer to their real-life counterpart.
From the current details and the beta preview, PlayStyles will be categorized across multiple gameplay areas, including Goalkeeping, Physical, Defending, Passing, Ball Control, and Finishing. Some of the PlayStyles expected are included below.
| Category | PlayStyles |
|---|---|
| Finishing | Clinical Finisher, Finesse Shot Master, First Timer, Penalty Expert, Power Shot Master |
| Ball Control | Speed Dribbler, Trickster |
| Passing | Bullet Pass, Tiki Taka |
| Defending | Aerial Defence Master, Hard Tackle Master, Stand Tackle Master |
| Physical | Intimidator, Relentless Stamina, Accelerator |
| Goalkeeper | Deflector, Super Rush, Whipped Crosser |
There’s also more depth here. PlayStyles are expected to come in four levels, and you should be able to equip or remove them depending on how you want to build your squad. There’s even mention of upgrading them using duplicates.
For now, the PlayStyles feature will be available as part of a beta test, meaning things can still change before a full rollout. We will get a picture of how things work here once it is out.
As for availability, EA has not confirmed exact dates or regions yet, but since the beta is expected later this week, it could begin around April 20, 2026. More details should follow soon, so keep an eye on this space for updates.
