FFIC 2021 Spring: Points table, Winner, and team performances

Team Galaxy Racer Esports won in what could be called a highly competitive setting, considering they were just 2 points above the second-placed team as the results got announced. GXR earned a total of 70 points consisting of 39 Placement Points and 31 Kill Points. Team Chaos and Team Elite finished at 2nd and 3rd position, respectively.

VasioCRJ7, a very well-known name in the Indian Free Fire community, played a crucial role in leading his team to victory. Other notable players who stood out from the rest, statistically are as follows: TechKK, SRV Golden, 6S Stoner, and Mr. Jay YT.

Fan-favorite teams such as Sixth Sense and Total Gaming failed to get a podium finish. Team Elite looked extra alert and passive, resulting in fewer kill points. Though, the biggest surprise and possibly a blunder was the performance of Total Gaming Esports. The team had a nightmare of an experience as they finished bottom much to the shock of every player in the Indian FF community. After all, they won last year’s FFIC. So, the expectations were set pretty high right off the starting.

In a total of six matches, played on Bermuda, Kalahari, and Purgatory maps, Team Chaos performed amazingly with two BOOYAHs while GXR, Last Breath, Team Elite, and Nemesis each bagged one.

What lies ahead?

The FFWS is one of the most thrilling and popular annual esports events in the realm of Mobile Gaming. It’s to be held later on May 29 this year in Singapore. The second-placed team in the current FFIC i.e. Team Chaos will be playing in the Play-ins for the upcoming FFWS scheduled to be held on May 22. The top two teams from the Play-ins will qualify for the FFWS. Hence, in most, India has the opportunity to have two teams representing it in the FFWS. One being team GXR, obviously and the other being Team Chaos on the condition that they secure a position in the top 2 of the upcoming FFWS Play-ins.
