FIFA Mobile added over 65 million new players in Q1, FY 2024

A remarkable feat indeed!

According to the recent Quarterly Results shared by Electronic Arts for the Q1 of the fiscal year 2024, FIFA Mobile now rebranded to EA Sports FC Mobile, saw a remarkable addition of over 65 million new players during the quarter. In addition, EA’s biggest sports franchise overall achieved its most significant Q1 performance in the company’s history, marking a tremendous milestone for the organization.

FIFA Mobile attracted impressive growth over average user metrics

It was always known that FIFA Mobile had a popular fanbase given it is one of the few football titles that packs a punch. But the numbers the game attracted are amazing in the first quarter, with an impressive number of over 65 million new players added. Additionally, FIFA Online achieved double-digit growth across its monthly, weekly, and daily average user metrics.

Overall, the whole FIFA franchise enjoyed tremendous success as well, experiencing its biggest Q1 results in the company’s history. Reports from the earning call suggest that FIFA Ultimate Team succeeded in engaging tens of millions of fans, experiencing a 15% increase in daily average users.

Net bookings in Q1 soared to $1.6 billion, showing a substantial 21% year-over-year increase, or 25% when adjusted for constant currency fluctuations, with the FIFA franchise being one of the primary factors. As mentioned, this is the second consecutive record-breaking quarter for EA SPORTS FIFA, with year-over-year growth accelerating from Q4.

EA Sports FC will aim to replicate the trajectory of progress

As FIFA Mobile will enjoy its last run under its licensed name, EA Sports FC will be taking over. After EA announced that it is parting ways in its partnership with FIFA, a brand new football franchise titled EA Sports FC was announced which is inching closer to release, currently open to limited beta testing.

The company aims to have a strong launch for EA SPORTS FC later in the quarter, and as fans, we all do. With the licensed title FIFA Mobile clobbering excellent achievements while coming to the closing end of its tenure, EA Sports FC will look to match and outperform its feats for sure.
