Among sports games, Football Manager is one of the most familiar and adored titles among all sports game enthusiasts, whether it be a beginner or a veteran. And to spark a thrilling sensation among the fans, Sports Interactive is bringing a new sequel to the Football Manager Saga. On November 9th, Sports Interactive and Sega will release a new version of the football-management simulation game, Football Manager 2022, and the gaming community is already searching for players to sign for their respective clubs prior to the game’s launch.
Football Manager 2022 – What can fans expect
Like its predecessors, FM22 will hand you the helm to use your critical thinking to handle the real-life aspects of football. You will have the role of the manager and use your wits to make clever decisions and come up with decisive tactics as if it was an actual football team.
Although Sports Interactive and Sega are not letting any details slip by, we can expect several new features and renovations to make FM22 more immersive and realistic. You should also keep a lookout for the WonderKids, as they’ll also make their entry into the FM22. As per game mechanics, the WonderKids will have decent Current Ability (CA) and high Potential Ability (PA), similar to FM21.
The big news about Football Manager in recent weeks is that women’s football is set to come to the game. Although it’s not likely to appear in FM22 or even FM23, it can be expected in future franchises.
Many of the features of FM21 were loved and adored by its players last year, earning it a high rating on Metacritic, with a score of 85 with a 6.3 User Score. The flexibility and freedom of selection of players were one of the reasons why it won the crowd. Amassing more than 50 nations and 2,500 clubs at every level of the football hierarchy, FM22 will surely inherit these features.
Pre-registration and release
Pre-orders are open for PC and Mac on Sega Store, Steam, Epic Store, or Microsoft Store – and players can get 10% off if they preorder now and get Early Access to the game two weeks prior to the official release. For X-boxers, this year has an even grander season with the release of the game along with the Xbox Game Pass.
FM22 Mobile will debut alongside its PC counterparts as well. Its pre-registration on Apple Store and Google Play Store will start in mid-October, so keep an eye out for that. FM22 Touch for Nintendo Switch is planned for release but it won’t be on November 9th, its official release date is yet to be announced.
