Fortnite’s BIG BANG event has already started and we have also witnessed the inclusion of Eminem in Fortnite as a part of the event. Now Epic Games has officially announced their new Fortnite Festival, which will be a separate music-based game mode within the game itself. The mode is going to launch on December 9, 2023, and the first artist who will come to Fortnite as a part of the Fortnite Festival is none other than The Weeknd himself. Fortnite Festival is being developed by Harmonix
The new Fortnite Festival is going to be developed by Harmonix, who is famous for creating the popular music game franchise Rock Band. In this new mode in Fortnite, you will be able to perform on the stage just like a pop star all by yourself or even with your friends while the music of your favorite artists is played.
The developers have not revealed any information about what will be the mechanics of the mode. They have just released the official poster for this model featuring their first-ever performer who is none other than the Grammy-winning singer The Weeknd who will probably get his skin in Fortnite as well.
Fortnite Festival will bring more artists in the future according to leaks
HYPEX, who is a popular dataleaker of Fortnite had revealed recently that an upcoming music mode was coming to the game on December 9, 2023, which has turned out to be true. They also shared a list of the artists who will be a part of this event.
The list included big names like Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, Toto, Imagine Dragons, and so on. But The Weeknd was nowhere mentioned even though he is the actual artist who got featured in Fortnite Festival first.
Popular singers like Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande have collaborated with Fortnite in the past but this will be the first time that a separate music game mode is going to be released inside the game itself. Two more game modes are going to be a part of Fortnite very soon too namely LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing game modes. These have been just announced as of yet and more information regarding these modes will be hopefully revealed during The Game Awards 2023 on December 7, 2023, at 7 PM CT.
