Fortnite is a content-rich game that keeps on hosting various events in which players can take part in various quests and challenges and acquire a lot of rewards in the process. Many players eagerly wait for these events as they bring with them exclusive rewards such as skins, cosmetic items, and so on. Fortnite also holds annual events every year which occur at a specific time each year. Fortnitemares is one such event that occurs during the month of Halloween in Fortnite. Fortnitemares has been happening ever since Fortnite was released in 2017 and new leaks suggest that Epic Games are yet again going to host it in 2023 too.
When will Fortnitemares 2023 release
In the past, Fortnite has had a specific pattern when it has to come to launch the Fortnitemares event every year. The event always seems to arrive on a Tuesday so it will either release on October 10 or October 18, 2023, and run until the first Tuesday of November.

But this time around the first Tuesday of November is after a whole week from Halloween so we’ll have to wait and see whether the developers plan to extend the event just to stick to their past pattern or end the event after Halloween itself.
What to expect from the upcoming Fortnitemares 2023
Any major new releases are not expected during the event. Rather every year we get to see the characters who are already a part of the game in new Halloween-themed outfits. The event also introduces new Halloween-themed quests and challenges which players can take a part in and get their hands on these exclusive event-specific rewards.
Leaks from a data miner of Fortnite named Wensoing on X reveal that several new Halloween-themed skins, weapons, and animations will be a part of the Fortnitemares 2023 event. New skins include horror counterparts of already existing skins such as Swamp Fishstick, Molton Love Ranger, and so on. The Battle Bus will also get a makeover specially for Fortnitemares 2023 and old weapons along with new ones will be seen coming into Fortnite such as Witch Broom, Candy and Pumpkin Launchers, and so on.
Further information from the leaks also suggests that new NPCs will also be introduced for the event and an NPC from 2019 named Horde Rush will be seen coming back to Fortnite. It also revealed that the main antagonist and Eclipse faction leader Kado Thorne from Chapter 4 Season 4 will be seen turning into a winged vampire specifically for the event. Now only time will tell if the leaks turn out to be true or not.
