Fortnite leaks suggest a complete revamp of the in-game UI

A much more cleaner UI?

Fortnite is an ever-changing game that gets frequent updates ever since its release. Updates include map changes, new quests, weapons, skins, and so on. The sixth birthday anniversary event of Fortnite has now ended on 26th September, 2023 and after that, the developers have released v26.20, which is the next major update. Fortnite releases new patches and updates now and then but players have been speculating that this update might be a big one due to various leaks suggesting a major UI revamp in Fortnite. So here’s everything we know about it as of now.

Leaks suggest changes in the UI of the lobby of Fortnite

Various data miners of Fortnite such as iFireMonkey, HYPEX, ShiinaBR, and so on have informed the players about the possibility of changes being made in the UI of the lobby in Fortnite. They have also further suggested that there might be major changes made to the Discovery Menu too.

Though the background image of the lobby changes now and then according to the ongoing event in Fortnite, according to HYPEX this time round changes might be made in the appearance and features of the lobby as a whole. According to the leaks from HYPEX, the changes might be made during the v26.20 update in September or the v26.30 update in October.

Leaked images show the lobby sporting a cleaner look

The leaked images on X show that the overall UI of the lobby will receive major changes. It will go from being filled with various icons and options to most of its icons becoming relatively smaller in size. The page selection bar seems to be occupying the top left corner of the screen. The Discover Menu will also allegedly be moved to the left and players will have a quicker way to access their current Survivor Medal in Fortnite.

Some fans are not happy with the clean UI look as they think that Fortnite is losing its uniqueness and the new lobby seems to have a mobile game-type UI across all platforms, which would be good use for Fortnite Mobile players. Since v26.20 is coming with the Ahsoka update, the UI change will most likely happen during the v26.30 update in October if the leaks turn out to be true after all.
