The record-breaking French-Mali singer Aya Nakamura will perform as the final artist in the Fortnite Soundwave series 2022. The Fortnite Soundwave Series is a run of musical performances with musicians from all over the world. Beginning on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at 12 PM ET, Aya’s experience will air back-to-back for 72 hours, providing an interactive experience specifically designed for the audience.
How to watch the Aya Nakamura concert and earn in-game items in the Fortnite Soundwave Series 2022
This interactive experience will enthrall with its vibrant sights and individualized feel thanks to an island by creator team Atlas Creative, containing a music video and digital reproduction of Aya by Mado XR.
Make sure you have the latest version of Fortnite downloaded on your device. Once Fortnite has started, go to the Lobby and select the “CHANGE” option. By doing so, the “Discover” screen will open, where you can select the tile for SOUNDWAVE SERIES: AYA NAKAMURA. You can also enter the island code 3500-0540-0065 by switching to the “Island Code” tab.
Don’t worry if you can’t join right now as the experience will repeat continuously for 72 hours (until Sunday, October 9, at 12 PM ET). You’ll receive some XP as well as the Soundwave Series – Aya Nakamura Spray and the Aya’s Island loading screen once you’ve finished the adventure.
Players also have the choice to play additional creator-made games like Battle Royale while seeing the experience via Picture-in-Picture. Note that playing interactive elements through Picture-in-Picture is not possible. This option is accessible through the Fortnite settings and is available during certain times of the event:
- Thursday, October 6, at 12 PM ET
- Friday, October 7, at 3 PM ET
- Saturday, October 8, at 2 PM ET
- Sunday, October 9, at 8 AM ET
Content creators can monetize from their clips provided they are SAC members
One of the songs included in the experience is the popular single “Copines” by Aya from her album Nakamura. But after the encounter, you don’t have to leave Copines behind! The Copines Emote will be accessible in the Fortnite Item Shop starting on October 5 at 8 PM ET. Dance to the chorus of Copines mid-match, which is ideal for the beaches of the Island (or anyplace!).
The content creators in the Support – A-Creator (SAC) will get a chance to host VOD content from the Gen Hoshino show on Youtube and can monetize it for seven days and no takedown notification should occur during this time,
- To monetize the show content, SAC members need to link their youtube and Support-A-Creator accounts.
- If uploading the video on youtube, make sure to upload it as unlisted or you might receive a monetization claim if you keep it private.
- If uploading the content on other platforms, go through the channel’s platform policies to avoid copyright strikes.
Not in SAC? Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to share your highlights from the experience. But you will not be able to monetize the content on YouTube. Epic Games won’t be responsible for any copyright issues for the twitch content creators who will stream the Aya Nakamura’s show via twitch. The general recommendation is to disable VODs/clips for the duration of the event.
The show has flashlights so if any player has a history of photosensitivity, we would recommend you to consult a doctor before entering the event. If you feel any discomfort from the screen lightning, immediately discontinue.
