The renowned global developer and publisher, Com2uS, known for popular mobile games such as Summoners War and MLB 9 Innings, has entered into a global publishing partnership with NetEase. This collaboration aims to introduce Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice to mobile devices worldwide.
Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice brings the Ice Age to mobile
Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice represents the official mobile iteration of the critically acclaimed Frostpunk, a survival construction management simulation game that seamlessly combines impactful decision-making, a captivating storyline, and the atmospheric backdrop of an ice age set during the Second Industrial Revolution.
Garnering widespread acclaim and embraced by a global player base, Frostpunk has achieved sales exceeding 3 million copies since its initial release in 2018 and first announced for mobile back in May 2021. The game also had its limited early access testing in April 2022.
Crafted through a collaboration between the original Frostpunk developer, 11 Bit Studios, and Chinese game developer NetEase, Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice unfolds within a world ensnared by an ice age, with a metropolis built around a monumental steam engine. Players, assuming the role of the city’s ruler, are tasked with implementing laws, overseeing a workforce, and constructing infrastructure to ensure the well-being and future of the populace.
Distinguishing itself from the original title, Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice introduces exclusive features in this mobile adaptation. Players can now engage in guilds, collaborating with others to complete special guild missions, reaping essential buffs and rewards in return.
The addition of a novel trade system enables the acquisition of valuable resources from fellow players, while the opportunity to rescue rare animals from the icy wilderness adds another layer to the gameplay.
The global release of Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice is set to be available as a free download with pre-registrations now open on the App Store and Google Play, and the game is set to arrive on October 23, as per the latest iOS store listing.
