Honor of Kings has announced their collaboration with Lee Chong Wei, the Badminton icon hailing from Malaysia which brings some exciting new events and rewards for the players. Claimed to be the first time a Malaysian sports figure is featured in a mobile game, this is only exclusive to the players in the country and the rest of the regions will not be able to access this event.
Invite friends and complete the event to claim the Lee Chong Wei skin in Honor of Kings
Starting from August 29, 2024, you can head over to the game and participate in the in-game missions listed in the Event tab. The challenges include inviting friends, logging in, daily check-ins, and completing matches with friends.
Among the featured rewards is the Lee Chong Wei skin. However, to earn 1,000 tokens needed to redeem the Lee Chong Wei skin for free. But the steps to collect them are also easy. On your first login, you’ll earn 120 tokens and unlock the Han Xin and LCW Skin trail effects. An additional 30 tokens will be granted for logging in daily.
Further, friends will help in wrapping the total number. Just by inviting a friend to join Honor of Kings, you’ll receive a random set of 50 to 500 tokens. By teaming up with them in a match, you’ll earn 55 tokens, and your friends will benefit from the same reward, helping both of you inch closer to the goal.
Endorsed by Datuk Wira (honorary title) Lee Chong Wei, the skin is modeled after Assassin hero Han Xin. Han Xin was chosen because, like Lee Chong Wei, he had humble beginnings, strong resilience, and a determination to be the best. Both Han Xin and Lee Chong Wei share a passion for excellence in their fields, which has made them legendary figures through their achievements.
Additionally, players in Malaysia can visit the 3D OOH installation at Bukit Bintang Pavilion, Kuala Lampur to take a selfie or short video, earning the chance to win an exclusive signed jersey from Lee Chong Wei and other in-game items.
