Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, an open-world RPG developed by Netmarble, has shared its update roadmap for 2026. On a developer note, the game released, it shares a preview of what’s coming in the next year. The preview includes graphics enhancement, overall gameplay experience buff, skill sets of the characters, and many more.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad update roadmap for 2026 will present a refined experience
The first in development are the cutscenes and overall visuals across the game. This is to ensure the players have a perfect and immersive gameplay experience. In the shared footage from the game, the graphics look a lot sharper with attention to detail in creating the atmosphere.
There will be a new visual effect when enemies are defeated, so players feel the combat flowing through their senses. Each time you change a weapon, a separate skillset will be applied. The good thing is that the developers are making each skill separate and with their own skill slots and cooldown times. This will make the weapon system more dynamic and appealing, providing players with independent choices to make based on their playstyles.

New multiplayer content, episode, and market system will be revealed
The game is doing quite a bit of polishing. It will introduce a new multiplayer PvE content themed around Harrenhal. So, may see more characters being added to the storyline. However, the multiplayer content will be team-based, so now you will move with other knights!
A new story will emerge as well, setting the plot in the House Lanister. As the game said, “Casterly Rock will serve as the first major setting in Chapter 4, where new conflicts will arise and difficult decisions will be made.” And if you think you’ve mastered enough of the combat system, the new Hard Mode will challenge you to put your combat proficiency and strategic decision-making to the test.
Last but not least, the market system will go through some inspection. You will now get more growth opportunities by freely trading various resources and quickly obtaining needed materials to aid your journey. In this coming January, the World Difficulty Hedge Knight III will be available, which will take 280,000 Momentum to unlock.
As you can see, the title is packed with new content. And if you’re interested in reading the developer note, you can check it out as well. Happy hunting in the long nights behind the wall. Winter is here!
