GameHouse have released their new title Barbarous: Tavern Wars

The second instalment after Barbarous: Tavern Of Emyr

Developer GameHouse is back with the second installment in their ‘Barbarous‘ series and has released a new casual title called Barbarous: Tavern Wars. The game will once again follow the stories of its characters from its first installation, Barbarous: Tavern Of Emyr. It will feature Emyr and the Barbarous Party on time management adventures as they take on new levels and challenges.

Barbarous: Tavern Wars: What to expect

Being a sequel, Barbarous: Tavern Wars is expected to offer a gameplay experience similar to that of Barbarous: Tavern Of Emyr. It is a cooking/restaurant management game and will feature a variety of timed and precision challenges which will be set based on the story as it progresses. Specific ingredients will be offered to the player to work within the game as they try to recreate the food demanded by the customers in order to progress and level up by satisfying the customers.

Customers will vary from regular citizens to well-known critics and the player has to properly deliver and prepare the food in accordance with it. Also, there will be bonus points to gain by keeping the tavern clean as part of the restaurant hygiene. The story mode will also feature side quests with the story being unique to the decisions made in the game, so it is important to note that all decisions should be picked after careful consideration and evaluation. The game will have 3 different difficulty levels to offer an even more exciting experience for the player.

The game kicks off when Paladin McArthus, renowned cook and rival of Emyr, makes Emyr an offer he can’t refuse. As Emyr works to make his tavern the greatest of them all, he realizes that he is part of a dishonest scheme where there are no clear rules dictating the world where he fights to make his tavern the best in the business. Meanwhile, Gwen caught up in her ambitions, realizes that she cannot abandon her family responsibilities and is faced with the choice of either abandoning her dream or her responsibilities.

Enjoy a light-hearted, engaging experience

The game also comes with one con for the free-to-play players, in the form of paid levels. Even though the game lets the players play the first few levels for free, the rest need to be unlocked by making an in-app purchase. It can be either a one-time purchase or a subscription wherein all paid titles from the developers will be free to play for the player.

Overall, what seems like a really light-hearted yet engaging game, Barbarous: Tavern Wars has what it takes to be a fan favorite game for casual players to kill idle time. The additional story mode further gives the players a reason to progress through the game in order to satisfy their curiosity as to what happens in the end. Even though the pay-to-play part remains a bit of a con, only time will tell how the plan will play out for GameHouse and the game.

The newly released title Barbarous: Tavern Wars can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and App Store.
