Gameloft appoints Michael Stolls as new Studio Manager for Toronto

Technical Director and veteran game industry professional, is Gameloft Toronto’s new Studio Manager

Gameloft, a top innovator in the development and publishing of games, has announced the promotion of Michael Stolls from Technical Director to Studio Manager of Gameloft’s Toronto studio. With a bank of experience in the game industry spanning more than 15 years, Mike will be looking after the production and growth at Gameloft Toronto as he leads the studio towards aggressive expansion in the next few years.

“After more than 13 years at Gameloft, Mike has been and continues to be a key part of our success as a company, and having him as Studio Manager feels like a natural fit” Stéphane Roussel, CEO of Gameloft said about this appointment.

Gameloft Toronto looks to expand in the future by appointing Michael Stolls as the new Studio Manager

A Toronto native, Mike started as a junior programmer at the Gameloft Montreal studio before moving back to his hometown and working his way up to Technical Director when Gameloft Toronto opened in 2011. Having just celebrated its 10th anniversary, Gameloft Toronto is looking to rapidly grow and expand with Mike at its head by bringing in new projects to the studio alongside one of Gameloft’s longest-running games, Disney Magic Kingdoms.

It’s been rewarding to be at the beginning of it all and to now be able to help nurture and continue to grow Gameloft Toronto,” said Mike. “With our aggressive plans to about double our current size by the end of the year, I am excited to be bringing in new projects for the studio, as well as new opportunities for people at all levels of experience.”
