GameTomo, a multinational team of game developers based in Tokyo, Japan to release their brand-new narrative adventure game Sumire on iOS in 2022. As the game was released in macOS today and the release for iOS next year was announced.
A story set on journey and fantasy of a small girl
‘Sumire’ is a narrative adventure game set on a one-day journey through a Japanese village. In this enchanted journey, the protagonist who is a small girl named Sumire meets a mischievous spirit who fulfills her wish. But to her wish come true she needs to complete a series of tasks before night.
Sumire featuring some adventurous game features for mobile
The players as Sumire gets a one-day time limit to complete their journey through the village. There are a series of quests to finish hurdled by numerous factors from forest creatures to quirky townspeople and even Sumire’s own needs. Throughout the journey, the player will encounter collectibles, bonus items, skill tests, and different challenges.
A smooth gameplay illustrated like a painting
The gameplay of Sumire is not that great, and it is really easy to play. But what’s makes this game special, is it’s beautifully painted and illustrated environments. As time went by, the sky also changes from beautiful calm mornings to soft twilight, and finally, the day ended with a violet hue to the environment. The players can make choices in a single day while experiencing various emotions and interacting with friends.
The game supports four different languages including Japanese, English, French, and Chinese.
Sumire a high acclaimed IP set to release on mobile in 2022
Sumire is a magical fantasy world well portrayed with beautiful illustrations and colors. The trailer of the game kept me mesmerized by the soundtrack which has increased the level of excitement to try the game out. The game is already a hit with 98% positive reviews of all time on Steam and on Metacritic, it has achieved 86 metascore.
‘Sumire’ is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $14.99 and is currently available for $9.99 to celebrate the release on macOS. The price for the iOS version of the game has not been announced.
