- Eversoul is a popular idle gacha RPG known for its charming characters, town building features, and immersive storytelling.
- You can still play the game and request refunds for recent purchases until June 30, 2026.
Kakao Games Corp has now announced the global shutdown of its collectible RPG, Eversoul, set for June 30, 2026. After facing two delays, the game was released in 2023, followed by its JP version in 2024. However, the JP one only lasted about a year before closing in August 2025, and the global version is going the same path.
Eversoul is closing since devs can’t continue service despite their efforts
Now, you must have heard about Eversoul, since it has such high ratings and downloads on mobile. If not, this is a collectible RPG that lets you summon Souls from six unique factions and build a squad around them. Here, you can even design and explore your town and interact with your Souls.
Unfortunately, the Eversoul team has announced via X(Twitter) that the game would shutdown on June 30, 2026, stating, “after carefully considering various circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the service.” It’s really sad since they actually put in efforts to save the game.
You can still download, play, and request refunds until June 30
Following the announcement, all payments and in-game purchases have been disabled. The only good part is that you can still download the game and enjoy it until EOS. Moreover, you can also request refunds for purchases you made between March 29 and now, which is not much, but at least they’re offering something.
Like me, many fans are equally heartbroken about this. Even the popular creator, Stix, is saying it’s “one of the 3 best Idle Gacha games in the entire genre,” and I actually agree with him. Now, while some fans are asking for an “Offline mode instead,” but it looks like that won’t be happening.
