HoYoverse has unveiled a year-end surprise for its fans and gamers: the Genshin concert 2023 “Melodies of an Endless Journey.” Scheduled for December 22, 2023, at 7 p.m. (UTC+8), this year’s Genshin Impact online concert will be broadcast for free on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and X. The event will showcase performances by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and various international musicians. Utilizing innovative XR, AR, and animation technology, the concert aims to breathe life into some of Genshin Impact’s most poignant moments, highlights, and memorable cutscenes.

The upcoming concert anticipates about 60 minutes and showcases a repertoire exceeding 25 tracks drawn from all five nations featured in the game. It aims to highlight a wide array of musical elements and genres from diverse corners of the world. The London Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside conductor Robert Ziegler, renowned for their previous performances of Mondstadt and Fontaine soundtracks, will reprise their roles to deliver authentic symphonic renditions.

Additionally, the event will feature accomplished singers and musicians, presenting an assortment of musical genres, elements, and instruments from the Genshin Impact universe. To infuse the musical journey with the essence of Genshin Impact, Yasunori Nishiki, the esteemed Japanese composer recognized for his contributions to Octopath Traveler and various video games, will serve as the Music Director for the entirety of Genshin Concert 2023.

Introduced in September 2020, Genshin Impact stands as an acclaimed open-world RPG, captivating enthusiasts and players worldwide. Crafted by HOYO-MiX, HoYoverse’s in-house music studio, the original game score unfolds within Teyvat, an expansive fantasy realm comprised of seven distinct nations.

The Genshin Concert series marks a notable musical endeavor within Genshin Impact, aiming to foster connectivity, education, and accessibility to music for enthusiasts, gamers, and the wider audience. Since October, live performances have expanded globally, reaching international audiences in offline concerts as part of the game’s tour.

Additionally, the Impact4Music: Music for All initiative, launched in Europe, supports aspiring musicians and student orchestras. Contributing to Genshin Concert 2023, the U.S. Genshin Impact Union (USGIU), a community formed by passionate players and backed by HoYoverse, orchestrates a series of on-campus events accessible via mobile devices.

Starting in December, pop-up installations will appear in various cities and campuses, including Yale University, New York University, Berklee College of Music, University College London, and Royal Academy of Music, offering more opportunities for people to experience or even perform Genshin Impact’s music. Dr. Piero Scaruffi, an Italian-American scholar and critic renowned in computer science, music, and art, delivered a lecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, delving into Genshin Impact and its musical dimensions.
