Genshin Impact version 3.6: “A Parade of Providence” Phase 2 character and weapon banners

New banners announced for version 3.6 Phase 2

Genshin Impact version 3.6 phase 2 banners will go live on 2nd May at 18:00 server time and will last till 23rd May at 14:59 server time. Version 3.6 Phase II banners will feature 1 new 5* character, 1 new 5* weapon, and 1 new 4* character.

Genshin Impact version 3.6 Phase 2 first character banner: Immaculate Pulse

This banner features the debut of the event-exclusive 5* character “Beyond Mortality” Baizhu (dendro/catalyst). He was first introduced as an NPC during the Liyue Archon Quest and was announced to become playable one day. The day has finally come. Many players have been eagerly waiting for his release. He is a healer/shielder hybrid, certainly not the first of his kind. His impact on the Dendro META is going to be interesting.

Baizhu will be accompanied by “Empyrean Reflection” Kaveh (dendro/claymore), “Golden Vow” Candace (hydro/polearm), and “Prinzessin der Verurteilung!” Fischl (electro/bow). Among these, “Golden Vow” Candace (hydro/polearm), and “Prinzessin der Verurteilung!” Fischl (electro/bow) is also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates. “Empyrean Reflection” Kaveh will be added to the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation after version 3.6 ends.

This banner features the third rerun of “Plenilune Gaze” Ganyu (cryo/bow) ever since her release all the way back in version 1.2. She is one of the Liyue Big Three alongside Xiao and Hu Tao. Ganyu will be accompanied by “Empyrean Reflection” Kaveh (dendro/claymore), “Golden Vow” Candace (hydro/polearm), and “Prinzessin der Verurteilung!” Fischl (electro/bow).

Genshin Impact version 3.6 Phase 2 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation

This banner features the debut of Jadefall’s Splendor (catalyst) as well as a rerun of Amos’ Bow (bow). These are the signature best-in-slot weapons for Baizhu and Ganyu, respectively. Amos’ Bow is also available in the  Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation while Jadefall’s Splendor is completely event-exclusive.

This banner also features the reruns of the event-exclusive 4* weapons Makhaira Aquamarine (claymore) and Wandering Evenstar (catalyst). Lion’s Roar (sword), Favonius Lance (polearm), and Sacrificial Bow (bow) will also receive a drop rate boost. These two weapons are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.

Final Thoughts

Baizhu is a Dendro character and Dendro being a broken element means it is very difficult for a Dendro character to be bad, especially if he is both a shielder and a healer on top of being a catalyst user who can apply Dendro with normal and charged attacks. That said, free-to-play players should wait a little while for theory crafters to judge his pull value accurately before pulling for him.

The exact same thing can be said about Kaveh. Meanwhile, Fischl is and always has been one of the best electro characters of all time. She got even better with the release of Dendro. It is never a bad thing to have Fischl on your account. Moreover, she has not had a rerun in a long while. On the other hand, Candace is, unfortunately, one of the worst Hydro characters of all time. Either that or her potential will be unlocked in the future. Regardless, she is not a valuable pull at the moment.

As for the weapons, it is not advisable to pull on this banner. Baizhu’s signature weapon is not very useful on other characters, and as an HP-scaling character, 3* weapons can be used on him. Ganyu’s signature weapon is available on the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation, so there is absolutely no reason to specifically pull for it here. Lion’s Roar is a decent weapon for Keqing for either Electro DPS or Aggravate builds.

Sacrificial Bow is good for bow characters who benefit from using their skill twice in a row, specifically Diona and Yelan. Favonius Lannce can be used on characters with ER issues like Xiangling, although her best-in-slot free-to-play weapon is The Catch. It goes without saying, pulling on the weapon banner for the 4* weapons is not advisable for free-to-play players.
