Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Phase 1 banners will go live after the server maintenance on the 20th of December, 2023, and will last till the 9th of January, 2024 at 17:59 server time. The Version 4.3 Phase 1 banners will feature one new 5* character and one new 5* weapon.
Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Phase 1 first character banner: In the Name of the Rosula
This banner features the debut of the event-exclusive 5* character “Helm of the Radiant Rose” Navia (geo/claymore). She is the first Geo character to be released since Yun Jin back in Version 2.4.
Navia will be accompanied by the 4* characters “Harmless Sweetie” Sucrose (anemo/catalyst), “Thorny Benevolence” Rosaria (cryo/polearm), and “Golden Vow” Candace (hydro/polearm), who will receive a huge drop-rate boost. All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.

This banner features the third rerun of the event-exclusive 5* character “Frostflake Heron” Kamisato Ayaka (cryo/sword).
Ayaka will be accompanied by the 4* characters “Harmless Sweetie” Sucrose (anemo/catalyst), “Thorny Benevolence” Rosaria (cryo/polearm), and “Golden Vow” Candace (hydro/polearm), who will receive a huge drop-rate boost. All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Phase 1 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation
This banner introduces the new 5* weapon Verdict (claymore) which is the signature best-in-slot weapon for Navia. This banner also features the rerun of Mistsplitter Reforged (sword), which is the signature best-in-slot weapon for Ayaka.
This banner also features the event-exclusive 4* weapons Akuoumaru (claymore) and Mouun’s Moon (bow) as well as the regular 4-star weapons The Flute (sword), Dragon’s Bane (polearm), and Favonius Codex (catalyst), all of them will receive a huge drop-rate boost. Among these 4* weapons, The Flute (sword), Dragon’s Bane (polearm), and Favonius Codex (catalyst) are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Final Thoughts
Navia is a new character and her value is difficult to judge at the moment. Players are cautioned to wait for a few days after her release to decide whether or not to pull for her. Ayaka has always been a top-tier hypercarry DPS, but Freeze as a playstyle is losing the edge to Hyperbloom teams nowadays. Hyperbloom does not make Freeze less competitive, it’s just Freeze is no longer the best team comp in the Genshin Impact META.
Among the 4* characters, Sucrose is a great Anemo support character worth having. Rosaria is also an amazing Cryo support. Candace has a niche ability that is not very useful in combat at the moment, maybe she will shine someday in the future. The value of Verdict (Navia’s weapon) depends on the player owning Navia. Otherwise, it is not a very useful weapon for most claymore users.
On the other hand, Mistsplitter Reforged (Ayaka’s weapon), is a great weapon for any sword user. Among the 4* weapons, Dragon’s Bane is amazing for Hyperbloom Raiden and Xiangling (if her ER needs are met). Favonius Codex can help out the ER needs of its wielder, but not generally the best option.
