Goddess of Victory: NIKKE launches one of its biggest updates yet with the Lie cause Recoil collaboration, featuring characters from Lycoris Recoil, a large-scale story event, new costumes, and major gameplay expansions. Below is a complete overview of everything included in the February 12, 2026, update.
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE “Lie cause Recoil” Event and Update Overview
New SSR and SR Characters
The highlight of the update is the arrival of SSR Chisato Nishikigi, the strongest Lycoris and the energetic mascot of Café LycoReco. Chisato is an Attacker who adapts her combat style based on her state, enhancing her offensive power further when activating her Burst Skill. She joins the game through Limited-Time Recruitment from February 12 to March 12, 2026.
Joining her a week after is SSR Takina Inoue, an elite Lycoris who excels as a Supporter. Takina strengthens allies while weakening enemy defenses, and her Burst Skill deals true damage, thus she’s a strong hybrid utility unit. Her banner runs from February 19 to March 12, 2026.
The collaboration also introduces SR Kurumi, a skilled hacker who specializes in sustained damage and debuffing enemies. Kurumi is obtainable for free through event participation during the collaboration period, but will not be added to standard recruitment pools afterward.
New Costumes and Collaboration Outfits
Several limited costumes arrive alongside the update. Mast: Romantic Maid – Tea Service is available through Costume Gacha and includes full voiceover and a Burst cutscene. Chisato and Takina each receive music-themed outfits, Red Spark Guitar and Blue Pulse Bass, obtainable through the Lycoris Passes.
Both collaboration characters also receive exclusive DA Training Wear costumes, unlocked by completing achievement missions during the event. Outside the collaboration, Zwei – Spring Stroll debuts as part of the March Mission Pass.
Lycoris Recoil Major Collab Story Event: Lie cause Recoil
The core of the update is the Lie cause Recoil story event. After a mysterious D-Wave is detected inside the Ark, the Commander investigates and unexpectedly encounters unfamiliar faces at a nearby café. What begins as a routine search quickly escalates into a tense standoff that ties the Lycoris Recoil cast directly into NIKKE’s world.
The event is split into two story parts, STORY I and STORY II, alongside Challenge Stages that feature high-difficulty boss fights. Players can explore the event map to earn Gems, development materials, Lost Relics, and unlock SR Kurumi. A special collaboration-exclusive Coordinated Operation against the boss Gatekeeper runs across three separate weekends during the event.
Mini-Game, Archives, and Login Events
A rhythm-based mini-game, LYCO RECO BEATS, offers a lighter look into the daily lives of the collaboration characters. The update also adds SECRET GARDEN to the Archives, allowing players to unlock and replay the story using Memory Films earned during the event.
Multiple login events are active throughout the collaboration, including a 14-day login campaign that rewards players with SR Kurumi, Advanced Recruit Vouchers, and enhancement materials. A short-time Valentine-themed event, CHOCOLATE, PLEASE!, also runs during mid-February.
