Following the long awaited launch of Arknights: Endfield, GRYPHLINE has now revealed that PayPal payment channel is currently undergoing temporary maintenance and upgrades. So, Community reports quickly surfaced online claiming that many players were being charged for purchases made by others.
The team is now offering full refunds for all PayPal orders that happened from 9:30 AM to 11:05 AM, with the promise to complete it within few hours. They’ve also disabled the PayPal payment option and plans to re-enable after resolving the issue and throughly testing it.

So, after a long wait, the game is finally available globally, and many players were sure happy to support it by purchasing battle passes and other in-game items. Unlike me, who’s a F2P player, a lot of fans began spending, and that’s where the trouble began, making it one of the worst gacha launch yet.
Many players reported that after they linked their Paypal account to the game, other users could somehow gain access and started making purchases with it. Moreover, the situation took more attraction when Twitch streamer fobm4ster during his livestream and stated, “Some dude in japan bought himself battle pass with my paypal before I even got it.“
Various players reported heavy loss but the devs are working on solutions
Besides him, another Redditor shared, “I lost 600 dollars, I just wanted to purchase a battle pass lol,” and there were more like him that lost different money. Though sad, what I really appreciate is how quickly the team stepped in and even launched a temporary payment maintenance and upgrades.
If you’re also planning to purchase, the team advises to use other payment channels until the issue is resolved. And another good news is they’ve confirmed that transactions “involving abnormal item delivery or payment deduction will be handled accordingly.”
The good news is that the team has offered full refunds which according to them is expected to be completed within 4 hours.
