Hasbro reveals new Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft themed Nerf blasters

The Bow, SMG and Sniper style blasters are set to hit shelves in a while

Hasbro has revealed some brand new Nerf blasters that will be joining their Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft collaboration lines. Each of the lines will be getting a single new blaster.

Nerf launches new game-based blasters

1. The Fortnite Compact SMG

First off, we have the Fortnite Compact SMG, a submachine-style motorized blaster. It’s based on the Compact SMG, a pretty popular weapon in Fortnite. The blaster has an 8 round (internal) dart capacity and takes four AA batteries to function, which probably means it fires elite blasters and semi-auto fire, which would make it a reshell of the Elite Stryfe.

These features make it quite similar to the Fortnite B-AR, SMG-E, and the AR-L, which are other blasters in the Nerf Fortnite line. The Compact SMG will be retailing at $38.99 and is the cheapest of the three blasters.

2. The Nerf Roblox Zombie Attack: Viper Strike Blaster

The next blaster is the Nerf Roblox Zombie Attack: Viper Strike Blaster. It’s quite a long blaster, just like its name, and has a sniper-esque look to it while also being shaped like a snake and is based on the Zombie Attack experience developed by wenlocktoad vs indra. It comes with 6 elite darts and a removable magazine, scope, and a bipod.

The blaster has got quite a long barrel (which might impact performance a little due to barrel drag) which ends in a viper’s open mouth. The blaster is air-powered and has a charging handle/priming bolt to load in a single dart and fire it, similar to the Fortnite BASR-L. It already does look a little wonky though due to the lack of a proper stock. This blaster will be priced at $45

3. The Nerf Sabrewing Bow

The final collaboration blaster is the Nerf Sabrewing Bow which is based on the weapon of the same name in Minecraft Dungeons (available on mobile through Xbox Games Pass). This one has a pretty unique motorized mechanism with a removable 8 round magazine that shoots elites and revs up with a bowstring instead of a rev trigger. Pressing the button towards the blaster’s front shoots out one dart out of the flywheels. When it comes out, it will have an MSRP of $44.99

All three of the blasters will be hitting store shelves on the first of August this year. While the Roblox Zombie Attack: Viper Blaster might be a little disappointing to Nerf enthusiasts due to its weird ergonomics, the other two blasters seem like they might be worth buying.
