Short Circuit Studio, the creator of Teeny Tiny Trains, Townsfolk, and more has announced an upcoming early beta test for their new medieval merge city-builder title, Hearthside, set for both Android and iOS. Inspired by Teeny Tiny Town, the game is also open for global pre-registrations.
Get ready to enjoy endless merges and evolve your settlement
Hearthside is a cozy merge city-builder where your journey begins with a tiny medieval settlement made up of just a few small pieces. Here, you can place tiles on a limited board and merge three or more matching ones to gradually evolve them into homes, landmarks, and lively spots around the hearth.
Since the board space is limited, every placement actually matters and can affect how your town grows later on. I mean it’s quite satisfying to watch a calm little village slowly turn into a lively settlement with strategic merges and planning. I also like how the difficulty increases as the village expands.

Overall, the game looks quite fun with features like endless mode, power-ups, cozy medieval visuals, relaxing ambient sounds, evolving structures, diverse board sizes for varied strategy, leaderboards, achievements, and more. And since its from such a solid dev behind enjoyable titles, I do hope I get access to the beta test as I can’t wait to try it out.
Hearthside is gearing up for an early beta test on both Android and iOS, and you can now sign up for it via this link. You can also also pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. That said, we can expect the game to release on April 6 based on the App Store’s listing.
