Thanos is making his return to Fortnite, but this time, he will come as a permanent skin you can add to your cosmetics collection. Here is all you need to know about how you can get your hands on the brand new Fortnite Thanos outfit.
Thanos returns to the Fortnite
After 2 years, we will finally see Thanos back in the game. He first made his debut during the Avengers: Infinity War crossover back in 2018. A year later, he then returned during the Avengers: Endgame crossover too. After that, he vanished from the Fortnite universe, until now.
He will be back in the game for a limited time, and there are multiple ways by which you can acquire this new skin.
It’s the Thanos design that was present in the MCU films, so this skin is unlike the comic representations of previous superhero skins. Furthermore, the Thanos Skin comes equipped with the Infinity Gauntlet back-bling, complete with all 6 glowing Infinity Stones. It is without a doubt, a pretty good-looking skin combination.
The item shop
With most premium skins, this will be available to purchase with V-Bucks in the Item Shop. You can grab it from Sunday 26th June, at the usual 1 am UK refresh time.
Fortnite has been pleasing fans with various collaboration skins and characters, ranging from Rick and Morty to Batman. It is likely that the Thanos Skin will be set at a price similar to these predecessors.
Fortnite Thanos Cup will offer the Thanos outfit
Again, as with some other collabs, the Skin will be available to claim earlier through its own Tournament. The Thanos Cup will commence on the 21st of June. It will be a duos competition, where teams will play 10 matches within 3 hours to earn as many points as possible. Points will be distributed in the usual way, with eliminations, placements etc, all being rewarded.
The teams at the top of the leaderboards in each region will be rewarded with the Thanos Skin and the back-bling for free. As a token of appreciation, Epic Games are also giving a free “Thanos Watches!” spray to the teams which acquire a minimum of 8 points.
