With 3 regions left on the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason, Thailand has also finished its esports tournament with Invate Esports winning over EVOS Esports TH on a 3-0 score thereby emerging as the champions. Invate Esports won $2,000 while EVOS Esports TH took home $1,250 for finishing 2nd in the said tournament. Despite being a small organization, Invate Esports or INV showed their mark and aced their way into the championship not losing a single game on the finals. EVOS Esports TH almost beat Flash Wolves‘ record as the most dominant run in the tournament by not losing a single game until the team that they put on the lower brackets, defeated the tournament’s most important stage.
At this point, INV is looking much stronger and fearsome compared to all the teams that had played in the tournament and had established their dominance in their region. However, we are yet to find out how they will perform against the other regions on the upcoming Super Summer Cup considering how they lost some of their games and are still inconsistent. Moreover, Clutch Gamers ended up in 3rd place and took home $750 while the team Made in Thailand finished in 4th place winning $500. For winning the said tournament, INV will now be joining Flash Wolves, Geek Fam, and RSG on the tournament’s Super Summer Cup.
Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Preseason: Thailand Finals: As it happened
Invate Esports had shown good performance and won the important games. They may not have a perfect run but still managed to win the tournament despite the inconsistencies. Fortunately, the Super Summer Cup is months away and preparation is still imminent.
Bellbee has shown wonders in the Finals playing exceptionally well on Orianna and Ziggs which won them the tournament. Bellbee’s Ziggs was so huge finishing in a 10-1-9 score along with a quadra kill and dealt the most damage in game 2. Also, KazeTARuler’s Draven on game 1 was key to their win finishing in a 7-1-13 score.
Moreover, the games on their run also didn’t show formula and featured different strategies over the course of the tournament– they had a very wide champion pool and a thick playbook. The most played champions in the region were Camille, Braum, Kaisa, and Alistar all having extremely high win rates except Orianna with only a 50% win rate.
The games were streamed on Facebook, Youtube, and Twitch for those who want to watch the replay of the games. Also stay tuned for the upcoming continuation of the tournament in other regions like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore! Support the team on the upcoming Summer Season of the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series along with the other regions’ champions like Flash Wolves, RSG, and Geek Fam!
