Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush is removed from Google Play and App Store to enter a new phase of development

The developers have started a new closed development phase!

Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush, the sequel to Jetpack Joyride, has been indefinitely removed from Google Play Store and App Store after the first announcement in February 2021. The game is a sequel to the mobile jump game Jetpack Joyride, developed by Halfbrick Studios. The developers behind hit mobile games like Fruit Ninja and Dan the Man.

On March 30, 2022, the developers tweeted that they are removing the game from App Store and Google Play. They said that they are thankful to the active player community on Jetpack Joyride’s Discord, and they are grateful for the feedback, which the developers will further use to improve the game.

Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush had a pretty smooth start

Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush had more polished gameplay than its predecessor. The side-scrolling jump runner had smoother controls. Along with that, new shooting mechanics were added, that allowed players to explore a whole new dimension, new guns, with a fresh shooting mechanism.

All of these while rushing past various modern hazards and dodging the incoming missiles. As far as the story is concerned, the sequel had more than one laboratory, and Professor Brains from the original game made a comeback alongside a crew of new evil villains.

However, this seems like a thing of the past as developers have pulled the game from App Store and Google Play Store to make adjustments to the game. Since this time, the game has been removed, and the developers might have received some negative feedback from the players’ community, which has led them to rework certain aspects of the game.

Like all video game sequels, the game had reimagined HD graphics with smooth shooting animations. The developers created an intuitive and easy-to-navigate menu in a fresh modern style. Check out the trailer for the game below.

Since the developers will be reworking the game, it can be said that the next version will feature new mechanics and improved gameplay. Stay tuned with us for more updates on Jetpack Joyride 2: Bullet Rush.
