South Korean gaming giants Devsisters and KRAFTON have teamed up with a publishing contract for the mobile game Cookie Run in India. They’ll work together to go with the game’s service in India, including adapting it for Indian players.
Cookie Run can appease the Indian audience with its fun gameplay
Before jumping into the news, we all know how popular the franchise is. Cookie Run was first released in 2013 and became popular in countries like Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. We later got spinoffs from the franchise such as Cookie Run: Kingdom, Cookie Run: Ovenbreak, Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures, and others, but the original game remained unreleased.
Now, Devsisters wants to introduce the original hit game to India because they think its easy and fun gameplay will be popular there too. Krafton has the taste of success in India with Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and has experience with Indian gamers and wants to use that to make Cookie Run popular too. Without a doubt, Krafton will be of great help to Devsisters to make sure Cookie Run is a success.
Studio Kingdom under Devsisters will be in charge of making sure Cookie Run works well in India. Gil-hyeon Cho, the co-CEO of Studio Kingdom stated that their main goal is to make Cookie Run even better and bring it to more people, including in India. He’s excited about this partnership and believes it will help Cookie Run grow even more.
It won’t be wrong to say India has a huge gaming market with millions of players, mostly on mobile phones. Devsisters and Krafton want to bank into this market and make Cookie Run a big hit in the country. Cookie Run is a big franchise, and its arrival would surely be a hit in the country.
