Three games are going to be dust at one go. Lord of Heroes, HEAVENHELLS: Anime Squad RPG, and Ayakashi Rise: AFK Demon Hunt are all bidding their goodbyes as the developer behind them, Clover Games, filed for bankruptcy on April 9, 2026.
Shutdown process begins May 9, 2026, with possible earlier server closure
As confirmed by the CEO Yun Seong-kuk, the studio could no longer sustain operations despite multiple efforts to stay afloat. With the company shutting down operations, all three titles will begin their end-of-service process starting May 9, 2026, although servers could go offline earlier depending on external providers.

Lord of Heroes was the studio’s oldest title, released back in 2020. The title offered a turn-based strategy RPG experience with a strong focus on story, large-scale progression, and a unique system where every hero could reach full potential without rarity restrictions.
HEAVENHELLS: Anime Squad RPG, which was only recently released globally after its launch in South Korea. Can be said that this is the most ambitious of the three; it brought real-time combat and anime-style storytelling, placing you in command of a squad fighting against a demonic invasion.
Meanwhile, another recent release, Ayakashi Rise: AFK Demon Hunt, delivered a more idle RPG experience, set in a supernatural version of Tokyo. All three had great ratings across the App Stores, and there is surely a lot of potential.
In the official statement, the CEO said that the entire team worked on cost-cutting efforts to keep the games running, while he also invested his personal assets to support the company. However, as funds ran out and losses became too high, the company could no longer continue operations.

Due to the bankruptcy proceedings, Clover Games will not be able to handle refunds directly. If you are among the ones who made purchases are advised to request refunds through your respective platforms, such as the Google Play Store or App Store.
