eFootball 2026: A guide to perform Feints and Sombrero

We are rejoicing in the arrival of a new eFootball 2026 update, with v5.4.0 now live. I know most of the players are just hoping to get some free Epic cards that are on offer, but the real fun is how the gameplay has been updated, especially the way dribbling will be more fun.

Yes, the return of advanced dribbling controls, with which Feints have been expanded, and more importantly, the Sombrero or Rainbow Flick makes its way back to mobile. Long-time PES players will remember the standing Sombrero, which was removed during the transition to eFootball, but now it finally returns with updated controls.

Now it is back, and I know most of you would love to know how to execute these in-game. That’s why I will explain how to perform both the Feints and Sombrero or Rainbow Flick in eFootball 2026 with this guide if you are a Virtual Pad player or someone who plays Touch and Flick like me.

How to perform the Feint trick and Sombrero in eFootball 2026

How Feints work in eFootball 2026 mobile

Command Types

Feints have been reworked with a new input system and better consistency. What has changed and has been added are the Feint Command Types, which give you three different ways to perform skills:

  • Easy: Simplified inputs, most feints triggered using basic Dash commands
  • Smart: Similar to the previous system, but will be a context-based execution
  • Advanced: Full manual control, allowing you to trigger specific feints based on exact inputs

Since it is a new feature, it is recommended to stay at the Easy, but the game will start with the Smart option. Advanced is the best way if you want full control and enjoy as per your commands.

Feints controls and inputs

Feints now rely on combining Dash inputs with directional movement. So whatever skill moves your player uses, basically, you are combining them with the feint moves, so your movement becomes effective.

One important thing to keep in mind is that these inputs are relative to the direction your player (or the ball) is moving. Especially while receiving a pass, your directional input should match the incoming ball direction, otherwise the feint may not trigger correctly or will result in a heavy touch.

How to perform Sombrero and Flicks in eFootball 2026 Mobile

Welcome back, PES days! Yes, the Sombrero or the Rainbow Flick is now easier to execute, but it still depends heavily on timing and player positioning. It works best when the ball is slightly ahead or just about to be controlled.
