Misfits Gaming, an interactive entertainment and lifestyle company, has announced a big change in its plans for 2024. Moving beyond its origins in esports and entertainment, Misfits Gaming is now focusing on something new called Misfits Interactive, which is to expand into creating their own games and original content, aiming to bring fresh ideas and creativity to their community.
Misfits Interactive will see two games releasing this Summer
Misfits is an entertainment company that makes game content and does real-life events. They are also an Esports player organization with teams in League of Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. Their other venture Pixel Playground, cofounded by Misfits, Karl Jacobs, and Kreekcraft, where they make Roblox games, is popular on YouTube too with over 1.2 million subscribers.
For over a year, Misfits has been quietly gearing up to make their games. Now, with the addition of Misfits Interactive, they’re getting even more serious about making their games. They’ve brought together a team with tons of experience in big-name games with more than 20 dedicated people working on making fun games.
Gaming industry veteran Chris Casanova will be leading the vision as the Head of Interactive. With work experiences in Xbox, Minecraft, and SEGA, under his belt, he says Misfits Gaming is on a mission to elevate play through the crafting of superior quality while forging a new relationship between creators, gamers, and developers.
