Leading video game developer and publisher NetEase Games and Saudi Arabian developer Sandsoft have announced a collaboration to introduce Stellar Gate Games, aiming to enhance game publishing, marketing, live operations, and Esports activities in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
The collaboration goes in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives
This partnership is expected to support the growth of the gaming industry in the region and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for economic and social progress as it aims to improve gaming and Esports in the MENA region. Let me remind you, that there are already plans to invest a whopping $38 billion for everything related to esports to make it a hub in the region.
Sandsoft, founded in 2020 is part of Ajlan & Bros Holding Group. It brings its experience as a mobile game developer and publisher. It has been putting in the effort to drive gaming as it recently opened its Barcelona Studio apart from its mobile game development studio in Riyadh where it even had an internship program aimed to develop and nurture gaming talents.
Meanwhile, NetEase Games is a major player in the global gaming industry, and a popular one at that too. They are also known for collaborations, which include the recent unveiling of its new remote-first AAA game studio, BulletFarm while keeping an eye on advanced technologies for its games with Qualcomm. Together, they plan to boost the gaming sector in MENA by combining their expertise and resources.
MENA is cited as one of the fastest-growing regions in the world, and both NetEase Games and Sandsoft see this as an excellent opportunity to bank on the growth. The studio heads expressed their delight in this partnership, as they join together to bring diverse gaming experiences to regional players.
