Mitrasphere a co-op multiplayer online RPG developed by Crunchyroll Games is set to shut down this coming February 1, 2023, speculations have been made behind the reason for this move, the most obvious one is appearing to be the lack of interest and popularity from the English version which is the global one because the game won’t shut the servers for Japanese version as it is still going strong.
In-game purchases have been suspended for the game 1 month prior to the shutdown
The game, Mitrasphere has suspended the in-game purchases for the app and players won’t be able to purchase any further items why would they, because the app will be removed and data will be erased in just 1 month
The game was announced last year in May 2021, given the success the game showed in the markets of Japan, developers thought that they would be able to emulate the same success overseas, but have seemingly failed to do so, as the game prepares to take necessary steps towards shutting down the servers by February 1, 2023.
The announcement was only made for the English side of the game, as the Japanese one is still going strong as is played quite regularly in the domestic markets. The global version however became a shadow of it and was not able to penetrate the foreign markets. Due to this, it is scheduled to shut down. Mitrasphere’s English server will shut down after a service life of 1 year and 8 months a very short span of time, thus underlining the failure to perform in the global markets.
For those unaware of it, Mitrasphere is a multiplayer co-op JRPG with a fascinating story, a beautiful art style, and a bunch of different interesting characters who have their own backstories. The game promised a great storytelling experience with many beautiful sights and secrets to explore with added and deep customization at every level for great personalization.

Tragically I enjoyed the game. So… if there is a billionaire who wants to let the game come back… please
