Mobile Legends 2.0 Update: What to expect

Mobile Legends developer Moonton already announced the major 2.0 update a while ago. We summarized the innovations that just came to the live server for you; and, in case you haven’t touched the game yet, why now is the perfect time to give it a shot!

Mobile Legends Bang Bang

Just like League of Legends or Dota 2, Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), but designed for smartphones rather than PC. Published by Moonton in 2016, MLBB got released for Android and iOS and remains one of the most played mobile MOBAs.

Each round you get to choose a Hero to take part in a 5v5 battle with and against other players. Every Hero has unique abilities and purposes that will help you to claim victory. In order to do so, you have to kill minions that spawn regularly on the battlefield to grow stronger. Whoever is the first team to destroy the enemy’s base will then win the game after round about 10-15 minutes.

Aside from the classic game mode, you get to enjoy a ton of special game modes, some permanent, others rotating. Updates happen regularly, so things never get boring with new Heroes released and exciting game modes introduced every couple of weeks.

Especially with Mobile Legends 2.0 just hitting the live servers, you get to enjoy a whole new level of gameplay experience. Also, lots of free rewards await that want to be claimed.

Mobile Legends 2.0: What’s new?

Aside from the standard balance changes, the Mobile Legends 2.0 update thrives with astonishing quality enhancements all around the place:

Mobile Legends 2.0 Old UI
Previous UI design

Instead of the rather childish UI we had before, the new one captivates players with new hues and smoother, modern design. A delicate image of the battlefield in the center of the screen catches your eye immediately. Lobbies and room design follow a similar scheme of reconstruction, now uncluttered and neat.

Much more important than the menu though: the improved gameplay experience!

An upgraded engine, Unity 2017, will provide better graphics and smoother character movement. In the meantime, PBR now improves the overall graphics rendering, creating even more realistic textures.

Overall the update will lead to shorter loading time and better gameplay as well as stabilized performance. Upgraded models, audio-visuals and optimized interactions will improve the whole Mobile Legends experience, both for newbies and veterans alike.

With Empire Reborn, we also get to discover a whole new storyline with lots of rewards that await throughout the event.

What’s yet to come?

After the revamp, we’ll also get to play a new Hero – Wanwan – from November 26th onwards. But there is still more to come:

The actual battlefield gets the same treatment as the interface, a reconstructed and improved design. Aside from better visuals, there will also be changes to the jungle monsters that are going to swing the meta (most effective tactics available) heavily.

So now is the perfect time to jump in and experience a whole new generation of Mobile Legends from the start.
