As the much-awaited Mobile Legends Global M5 championship is coming soon. MOONTON Games is organizing a Contest for interested participants who can create a very cool and fascinating Recall Effect for the Upcoming M5 Tournament. Players must also Recall that the M5 skin theme hero is Yu Zhong, as he was the most voted-for hero during the M5 hero Polls. Hence, in anticipation of the upcoming Mobile Legends M5 tournament event, a Recall Effect is needed leading to the whole Creation Contest.
Moonton did also state that the winner of the design Contest would be rewarded with cash prizes and lots more rewards, making this a very worthy challenge for artists and players with good design intellect. Hence, without much further Ado, let’s check out more info about the M5 Creation Contest
Mobile Legends M5 Recall Effect Creation Contest: Schedule
For interested players or participants who intend to use their valuable creative intellect in creating a cool Design. The following are the timelines showing when the event would run through:
Entry Submission
Interested participants who intend to design the M5 Recall Effects can proceed to send in their entries as long as the Entries are themed “M Championship”. The Entry Submission would run from the 1st to the 10th of June, 2023.
Shortlist Review Period
In this phase of the contest, only Entries that meet the requirements of the Review Criteria and Rules would be deemed qualified for the Social Media Voting Period This part of the Creation Contest would be running from 11th June to 18th July 2023.
Social Media Voting Period
In this phase of the contest, all players can vote for their desired entry via Mobile Legends Official Social Media Handles, it is also stated that everyone has one vote, hence multi-voting by a single individual is not allowed. Moreso, the top 10 voted entries would then be reviewed by Moonton’s official team from perspectives of the design concept, overall performance, and feasibility of realization. The top 2 of the 10 optimal entries would then be introduced to the in-game voting period, whilst the
- creators of the other 8 entries would be awarded the title of Outstanding Artist. This phase would run from 19th of July till 26th July, 2023
- In-game Voting Period: This phase of the contest would allow for an in-game vote to be held for the top 2 selected design entries. The Creator of the winning entry would be awarded the title of Best Design, while the runner-up creator would be awarded the title of Epic Creator. This phase would run from 4th September to 10th September 2023.
- Results Announcements: This phase would be showing to all players the winner of the Recall Effect Design Contest and the Result would be announced on the 11th of September, 2023.
How to Participate in the M5 Recall Effect Design Contest
Interested players who intend to participate in the M5 Recall Effect Design Contest would have to follow the following steps:
- Interested players would have to Download the official template provided by MLBB official team from this link to proceed with their creative designs.
- Players would then submit their works and registration information via this link.
Mobile Legends M5 Recall Effect Design Contest: Rewards
Moonton would be giving out amazing rewards to the players whose entries make it to the top 10. The Prizes include:
- Best Design (1 Winner): The player with the winning entry would be declared as the Best Design and would be given the following prizes:
- 500USD cash prize
- “Legendary Creator” Avatar Border
- M Championship Prime Skin (1 of 2) which should be either Beatrix or Roger Prime skin.
- Epic Creator (1 Winner): The player with the runner-up/Second place entry would be declared as an Epic Creator and would be given the following prizes:
- 5000 Diamonds
- “Outstanding Creator” Avatar Border
- M Championship Recall Effect (1 from 4) which should be 1 of either M2/M3/M4 or M Recall Effect
- Outstanding Artists (8 Winners): For the 8 entries that didn’t get to reach the final voting stage, they would be declared as Outstanding Artists and would be given the following prizes:
- 500 Diamonds
- “Outstanding Creator” Avatar Border
Mobile Legends M5 Recall Effect Creation Contest: Review Criteria
The various entries would be reviewed from multiple aspects and perspectives regarding design concept, color concept, coherence with the game, overall performance, and feasibility of realization. The following are the Review Criteria that must be noted by participants whilst they’re designing the M5 RECALL EFFECT.
Entry Composition
The M5 Recall Effect must contain three parts- Bottom Patterns, Top/Background Decorations, and Animation effects. Players must also know that the submitted entries must include Key frames of the animation effect. Participants are to also Note that the submission of the first frame and ending frame of the Recall Effect is not mandated.
Instructions on Bottom Patterns
The Bottom Pattern of the Recall Effect should be M Championship Themed. It could also be either an opaque or translucent Graphic. Participants should also know that the shape is not limited to circular. However, it must be coordinated with other decorative patterns and effects.
Instructions on Top/Background Decorations
Since the decoration part is the primary part of a recall effect, the designer should preserve enough space in the middle area of the Recall Effect for the Hero’s recall action and avoid any blockage of the sight line. The decoration can be a background image shown on the two sides of the hero. It can also be displayed on the top of the hero which is about 1.5 times the height of the model.
Instructions on Animations Effects
Animation effects are also another decorative part of the Recall Effect. Moonton does recommend the participants use multiple illustrations or concise illustrations to show the whole process of the animation so that the Dev team can get to understand in detail what the animation is geared at.
Design Elements
- Color Tone: Participants should note that the dominant color of the M Championship should be Gold, other colors only serve as auxiliaries or embellishments, and therefore should not have a high proportion in the Design
- Text: Participants should take notice that the text “M5” must be included in the design.
M5 Recall Effect Creation Contest: Rules
For interested participants, below are the lists of rules and guidelines to note on developing interests to want to participate in this Contest.
- Each in-game ID is free to submit as many entries as they want. However, the prizes are unstackable and a player can only get one award, whichever is higher. All Prizes would also be issued before October 2023. Hence, it is a must for participants to be actual Players in-game.
- All Dates/Times mentioned in the event are based on UTC-8.
- The entries should contain keyframes of the animations for the Recall Effects designed. Also, submission of the First and ending frame of the Recall Effect is not mandated. As the Devs have also prepared a designed template for interested participants. The participants are therefore expected to design their work using the appropriate template whilst also submitting their entries via MLBB’s official collection channel.
- Participants are also advised to be careful whilst filing in their personal information. That personal information would serve as the only channel for contact or Rewards distribution.
The Devs also expect the participants to promise that their works are:
- Original works created by the Creator and do not infringe upon any legitimate rights and interests of any third party (including but not limited to intellectual property rights, portrait rights, reputation rights, name rights, ownership rights, etc).
- Published for the first time and haven’t been published on any other platforms, or not legally unqualified for publishing in Moonton’s platform due to violation of the contract with the third party.
- Not Created or Generated by AI
- Without content that may violate the local laws, regulations, customs, social morality, etc. of the place where the Creator of the entries is located.
- Without Content that is violent, pornographic, bloody, defaming, labeling, or ridiculing;
- Without any content discriminating against any race, sex, religion, nation, physical disability, sexual orientation or age, etc.
- Without any content that may infringe on the official image of Moonton or Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
- If any of the aforementioned content, was found/reported before the ethe event ends, such entries would be deemed invalid; if such content was found/reported after the event ends, Moonton reserves all rights to pursue all Legal Responsibilities of the participants. For example, the issued rewards will be revoked.
- Participants should not violate the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Moonton and avoid any deeds that may infringe on the official /–0 no book of Moonton or Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, etc.
- Participants confirm that they understand and agree: by uploading a submission, participants agree to transfer all intellectual property rights except for the rights of attribution to Moonton without compensation. Moonton has the right to exercise the intellectual property of the works in any way or authorize any third party to use the work in any way without any prior consultation with or consent from the participant.
