- MOONTON Games and Central Java Police shut down Senpai Mod and NUI Mod cheat network.
- Thousands of MLBB accounts were penalised for using unfair tools like map hacks and more.
- Investigation found the cheat network had spread across SEA, though the operators agreed to shut everything down permanently.
MOONTON Games has teamed up with the Central Java Regional Police and external legal counsel SKC Law, successfully shutting down a major cheat distribution network targeting their beloved MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This is one of the most significant anti-cheat crackdowns in MLBB’s history.
MOONTON cracks down on widespread cheating in ranked matches
Now, you may wonder how things turned out this way. Well, the case first came to light through reports from the MLBB community, where many raised concerns about abnormal activity, especially in ranked matches. And the devs were quick to begin internal monitoring and worked closely with authorities since September 2023, targeting Senpai Mod and NUI Mod operators.

This investigation traced the networks responsible for it and found that Senpai Mod was not just a simple tool distributor but also a reseller. That said, over the past years, MOONTON Games has already penalised several thousand MLBB accounts that used Senpai Mod-related cheats for map hacks, drone-style vision, and more.
Legal action from MOONTON Games and law forces MLBB cheats operators to shutdown permanently
And they didn’t stop there, as they teamed up with the Central Java Regional Police’s Directorate of Cyber Crimes, which helped identify the individuals involved and then taken down. And following legal enforcement actions, the operators behind Senpai Mod and NUI Mod have formally agreed to:

- Stop all development, sale, and distribution of their cheat software.
- And also close all related websites and social media channels permanently.
But it was really shocking to know that while the cheats were mainly aimed at Indonesian players, they spread across Southeast Asia, with transaction data suggesting a wider global base. But I need to appreciate MOONTON Games for their commitment to maintaining a safe and fair competitive space by coordinating between anti-cheat systems and legal enforcement.
