Neverness to Everness interaction feature faces backlash and turned out it was a false claim

Community reactions are priceless!

Story Highlights
  • Neverness to Everness interaction feature faces backlash as players criticize character restrictions.
  • Turned out it was a false claim.

Upcoming urban fantasy RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE) is attracting major attention ahead of release. Recent discussions around one of its social interaction systems have sparked controversy within the community, citing it as the game’s ‘dating’ system. However, what’s surprising is that the claims regarding the social interaction feature within the Neverness To Everness game were actually false claims.

How the Neverness to Everness Interaction feature controversy started

The controversy began when a gameplay video started going viral online. In the clip, a player selected the hug interaction while using the female main character. After activating the feature, a nearby female character hugged the female protagonist with one hand and posed by lifting the main character’s chin in a dramatic scene.

The moment quickly spread across social media, with many players reacting to the scene and discussing what it could mean for the game’s interaction system.

As more details surfaced, players discovered that the game system allows users to invite five female characters to large properties. In your purchased property, you can interact with female characters, but you can’t invite male characters into your property. Even if you choose a female main character, you still can’t invite any male characters.

Now the interesting part is, this is all false. And there was chaos in the community without a proper verification. This might have been because of an older test build. Or maybe the testers did not care much before spreading the information online. The truth is, you can also invite male characters to your property.

Final Thoughts

One thing to note is that neither Hotta Studio nor Perfect World Games have passed on any official statement regarding the chaos happening in the community. Funny enough, many players also thought that the initial false information spread was intentional, and they were doing it to attract players from other communities.
