Krafton, the developers behind New State Mobile, have introduced many updates in the current June 2023 Update. With a new mode in the form of Dead Rock being introduced, the game has seen a number of weapon customizations, gameplay updates and more. There are many more map and mode updates, menu updates and more. Let us break down the June 2023 Update in New State Mobile in detail.
New State Mobile June 2023 Update: Dead Rock mode
Dead Rock is a 4:4:4 round-based battleground mode that takes place in a combat area with a shrinking Blue Zone. Unlike the existing Deathmatch mode, three squads will compete against each other in one battleground. The first squad to win two rounds wins the game.
There are three starting points, and each squad is randomly assigned to one before the game begins. Each starting point has a different concept and characteristics. Each point has a detour on the back side and a squad can utilize it to infiltrate into the backside of other starting points and a marker indicates which starting point the other squads will spawn, while each time waiting for the match to start. Players should use the trench in the centre of the map to survive and achieve victory.
Survivors will enter the battleground with the weapon selected in the Deathmatch preset window. Players also get a grenade, two smoke grenades, and two poison grenades each round. There will be no Care Packages dropped in the mode. To celebrate the release of Dead Rock, developers have prepared some events where the survivors can get many rewards, including special titles.
Bounty Royale Balancing
Developers have adjusted the balance of points required to select a gun based on the data analysis and feedback from survivors. More points will be spent to select MG5, M249, and MP-155 Ultima. However, the points required for the SL8, Mini-14, M24, and Kar98k have been reduced. The development team will continue to improve Bounty Royale based on data analysis and feedback from our beloved survivors.

Weapon customizations
- An exclusive suppressor for the L85A3 C2 customization will be updated. The suppressor can be equipped in the muzzle slot and will increase damage to the C2. However, it will also increase vertical and horizontal recoil.
- Developers have adjusted the balance of the MG5’s extended mag customization. Developers have decided that its penalty was not effective in comparison with the advantages. In the case of the MG5 C1 customization, vertical/horizontal recoil will become severe.
- Furthermore, fewer MG5s will be spawned in Battle Royale mode.
Gameplay Updates
- The Hide Helmet function will be added. When a helmet is hidden, a character’s hat or hair will be exposed instead. But the equipped helmet will still be visible to other survivors. The function can be turned on or off for each preset or helmet level.
- For better sight in the aeroplane, during falls, and while using a parachute, vertical sensitivity will be increased compared to before.
Map/Mode Updates
- Multiple map selection tier bonuses will be improved.
- When a survivor selects multiple random maps, a better tier point bonus will be granted. The more maps a survivor selects, the better the tier-point bonus.
- The map rotation schedule will be adjusted.
- Arena (TDM) will be terminated. Players can still play it in custom matches. Custom match play for Station (RDM), and Exhibit Hall(TDM) will end.
New State Mobile June 2023 Update: Other Updates
The Find Team function will be improved. Survivors can now use the function while the team recruitment in the same language filter is activated. The two preferred languages that are currently applied will be displayed.
The Legendary tier vehicle skin will be updated. Players can update it in the Vehicle Labs, where you can find different effects of the upgrade. If an existing vehicle has been added to Labs, it will be changed to Legendary tier and you can upgrade it further
Ace League
Ace League is coming to determine the best survivors of the season. The league will be held 12 days before the end of the season. The schedule and map will be different for each region. The exact schedule will be notified in the map selection screen a day before the league begins. Only survivors over Diamond 5 of this season can join the qualifier. Get ready for the league in advance and challenge for the league champion!
Survivor Pass
The lead character in Survivor Pass Vol.20 is ‘Jean’ of Justice. You can get the character for free by reaching a certain pass level. Players can get a costume set of ‘Jean’ by upgrading yours to Premium Pass, and many fabulous rewards will be granted upon purchasing Premium Plus. One can meet the ‘Argos Tactical Set‘ again when you upgrade it to Legacy Pass. All consumed NC will be refunded when a survivor reaches a certain pass level.
