Niantic’s NBA All-World is now globally available on both Android and iOS

Usher in a new direction to experience basketball!

NBA All-World, a free-to-play officially licensed geolocation augmented reality basketball game where players can find, challenge, and compete against current NBA ballers in their neighborhoods, then recruit them to their team before proving themselves on the court, was released today by Niantic, the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).

Encounter and compete 1v1 with players from your neighborhoods in NBA All-World

NBA All-World introduces the NBA to local communities all over the world. To find current NBA players, recruit them to their teams, level them up, and compete to govern their local courts, fans can explore the communities where they live.

By looking for real-world drops from several well-known brands, players will have the chance to provide their squads with the newest gear. Players can also showcase their teams, communicate with friends while playing, and participate in 1v1 tournaments to win exclusive in-game items.

Players will get knowledge about real-world locales that current NBA players personally enjoy through NBA All-World. Additionally, Niantic will promote the game’s release with the “go. all. out.” marketing campaign and NBA All-short-form World’s documentary series “Where I’m From,” which features NBA players Jalen Green, Jordan Poole, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Andrew Wiggins.

The game brings the key factors of Basketball culture including clothing, sneakers and more

According to John Hanke, founder, and CEO of Niantic, “Sports are a major part of people’s lives and a huge component of pop culture.” He further added, “Our recreation of an NBA basketball game begins with thrilling one-on-one action and progresses from there to incorporate the key components of basketball culture, such as music, clothing, sneakers, and more, all of which are incorporated into actual places.”

This game, created in partnership with Niantic and the NBPA, “helps spread the NBA and its culture into almost every community in the world.”

Josh Goodstadt, Chief Commercial Officer for THINK450, the partnership and innovation arm of the NBPA, stated that by adding NBA players to Niantic’s augmented reality game, “we want to help make NBA All-World as authentic as possible and reach new audiences. We are eager for people to compete and build their rosters from their preferred NBA players all over the world.”
