Night in the Woods is a critically acclaimed adventure game that has released on iOS devices after it was initially announced in 2020. The brains behind this game, Finji, announced last year that it would be bringing the title to mobile with iOS users first in line to get their hands on it.
After its announcement in 2020, little to nothing was heard from the developers about Night in the Woods until its unexpected and surprising launch in the App Store earlier today. The Night in the Woods official Twitter account made the official announcement on the game’s availability on iOS devices.
Night in the Woods Gameplay
For players who haven’t played or heard of Night in the Woods, it is an adventure game where you take control of a 19-year old cat who returns to her hometown – Possum Springs after dropping out of college. It didn’t take her long to realize that something fishy was going on and so she embarks on a quest to discover the town’s many dark secrets it has kept hidden for years.
The game’s story might appear a tad over the hill but you need not worry as it offers various chances for Mae to enjoy some downtime. You can get a chance to shatter things, play bass, hang out with a couple of friends or go as far as jumping across rooftops. The game’s vast cast includes over 100 various and colorful characters to meet throughout your adventure.
Night in the Woods was originally released for PC and PlayStation 4 in 2017 and subsequently made its way to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game has won many awards after its successful launches such as the IGF for Narrative in 2018, the BAFTA, and the Seamus McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival.

Night in the Woods is currently available to download on App Store for iOS users. It’s a premium app that costs $5.99. However, Android users will have to wait for some days more as there are currently no announcements of any sort from the developers regarding an Android version of Night in the Woods but there is likely to be one in the coming months.
