One Piece Dream Pointer, a 3D vertical adventure mobile title inspired by the popular One Piece franchise, will be officially getting a launch in China on April 1st, 2024. Developed by Qianxunsha, the game is being jointly published by Thunder Games and Aofei Games.

As a fan of the One Piece franchise, I’m pretty excited to share the details of the game. Yes, it is a surprise to see that they have gone for a “portrait” setting for such a franchise, but I believe this doesn’t affect much if they deliver an attractive product. From what the description tells us, the game has been in the works for over three years now and was announced in 2022 before a closed beta in the following year.
The game is card-based gameplay on a portrait screen which can be played using a single hand as well, offering simple and easy one-handed operation with a vertical screen. I’m impressed by the high-quality graphics, which I am sure will keep you absorbed, and the animated voiceovers as well as the original music score will bring about a genuine One Piece feel.
The game brings you to gather powerful crews which consist of iconic characters such as Luffy and Zoro. We will be exposed to hidden secrets for each character that reveals incredible powers. Skillful use of attribute strengths and partner skills in strategic duels helps in defeating enemies. Form sailing groups, join forces with friends to take down epic bosses, and grab a fortune in the game, just like how you see in the anime.

Players in China can now pre-register for One Piece: Dream Pointer ahead of its launch. Simply sign up on the Haoyou Kuaidao app store to secure your spot and complete the registration process by scanning the QR code through the App Client.
Now, details regarding the global launch of the game are still on the covers, I have no info regarding it. Once the Chinese launch is complete, maybe we might get to see releases for other regions gradually. Until then, One Piece, you need to wait with me!
