Fabled Game Studio has announced that their latest roguelike strategy card deck builder, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch on Android, iOS, and PC in Q3 2025. From the creators of the Spiritle, Pirates Outlaws 2 is a sequel to the original Pirates Outlaws, which was launched in 2019.
Plunder treasures and face off against giant creatures in Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage
Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is an indie swashbuckling roguelike card deck builder set in New Elyisa that follows the main story of a new single hero, set years after the events of its predecessor, Pirates Outlaws.
In this game, you can enter your mansion, choose a character, class ability, and starting deck, and start your daring adventure. This time, you can also select a Companion, who adds unique ability cards to your Hero’s starter deck, allowing you to create a wide variety of combos.

The game offers two main modes, Campaign, where you can navigate and explore, and Arena, where newly unlocked contents will be directly added to the Arena reward pool. You can enjoy enhanced turn-based combat, where every card played affects a Countdown towards your enemy’s actions.
You can collect and fuse cards to evolve, gather relics for outfit bonuses, and craft your strategy to conquer the Arena. Alternatively, you can play the Campaign mode, where you can go on adventures, plunder Sea Masters, and face off against giant creatures, which sounds fun.
This sequel brings numerous changes while maintaining the core identity of Pirates Outlaws
You won’t feel major differences regarding gameplay in this sequel, as the developers have retained some iconic mechanics from its predecessor, including the single-condition system, ammo, a maximum of six cards in hand, melee-ranged-skill card features, curses, and various enemy races.
Leaving aside the similarities, I am excited for the new changes in this sequel, such as the Hero having various special attributes, along with premade starter decks, unique ability cards, a new armor/shield system, and a new card evolution tree.
Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is scheduled to launch on Android, iOS, and PC in Q3 2025, and a demo is available to try on Steam. Stay tuned in this space for more updates!
