Playdigious, a publisher of Indie games such as Dead Cells has announced Abrial Da Costa as the new CEO of the company. This event begins an exciting new chapter for the business and its recently announced label, Playdigious Originals, after 8 years of consistent growth and success.

Abrial Da Costa will leverage his ten years of project management and game development experience at Don’t Nod (Life is Strange, Tell me why) to oversee the business operations and advance Playdigious’ innovation and cooperation activities with major industry players.
Xavier Liard said, “With tremendous pride, Romain and I pass over control of Playdigious to Abrial and usher in a new era. I’ve been spending more time lately giving group-level advice, so I’ve decided to take on this new challenge. We would all want to extend a warm welcome to Abrial into the Fragbite Group family. Future events are exciting!”
I’m honored to be joining Fragbite Group after almost nine years of overseeing Don’t Nod’s business strategy and participating in the company’s IPO and three rounds of strategic capital. I had the good fortune to work with Romain and Xavier many years ago, and ever since Playdigious was founded, I have admired the enormous amount of work that they and their crew have accomplished. I’m excited to advance the business and support the expansion of the Fragbite Group.

Additionally, this nomination heralds the beginning of a change within the organization and its ecology. Co-founder Xavier Liard will continue to serve as Senior Strategy Advisor for Playdigious’ parent firm, Fragbite. Co-founder and CTO Romain Tisserand will take over as head of Playdigious’ new R&D division.
