For all the trainers out there, it’s adventure time. The Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023 event is just around the corner, and it’s packed with material for you to enjoy, as well as plenty of pokemon eager to spend time with you. In fact, a new pokemon are introduced as part of the festivities. Through rocky crags and fields of fossils, this year’s Adventure Week invites Trainers to head outside and spend some time with their favorite Fossil Pokémon.
Mega Tyranitar pokemon makes its debut in the game
From Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Mega Tyranitar will make its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids.

Wild encounters in Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura
Eggs in Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023
The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 km Eggs. Also, Tyrunt and Amaura hatched from Eggs will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than Tyrunt or Amaura found in the wild.
Field Research task encounters
Adventure Week–themed Field Research tasks will be available! The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks
Raids
The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids.
Event Bonuses in Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023
- 2× XP for spinning PokéStops.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
- 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time.
Paid Timed Research
For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research. Complete research tasks related to exploring to earn two Incubators, a Super Incubator, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon! The Timed Research tasks and their rewards will disappear on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers can purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends with whom they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable.
The Adventure Week Timed Research Ticket will only be available in the in-game shop from Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Free Timed Research
Free event-exclusive Timed Research will also be available. This Timed Research will ask Trainers to choose between exploration- and research-focused tasks. The Timed Research tasks and their rewards will disappear on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Apart from these. there will be an Adventure Week Collection Challenge. Complete the Collection Challenge by the end of the event to earn encounters with Tyrunt, Amaura, and Stardust.
