Niantic has officially announced the dates and locations for Pokémon GO Fest 2025. The annual celebration of the popular augmented reality game is set to welcome some new Pokémon, collectible items for the fans, add-ons for attendees, and much more.
This year’s event will feature both in-person gatherings across three major cities and a global event accessible to players worldwide. The first Fest is scheduled in late May, exactly a month before the global event will be wrapped.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025 dates and schedule
The in-person events will take place in Japan, the USA, and France over different weekends in May and June. All of these will be running for three days.
Place | Location | Date |
---|---|---|
Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park | Osaka, Japan | May 29 – June 1, 2025 |
Liberty State Park | Jersey City, USA | June 6 – June 8, 2025 |
Parc de Sceaux | Paris, France | June 13 – June 15, 2025 |
The event consists of two park sessions scheduled throughout the day. The Morning Park Session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. local time. Later in the day, the Afternoon Park Session takes place from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
If you can’t attend any of these three events, the virtual global event on June 28 and 29 is also available. It is set to bring an amazing adventure, wherever in the world you are.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Important Highlights
Debut of Volcanion and early access to Zacian
One of the main highlights of Pokémon GO Fest 2025 is the debut of Volcanion, the Steam Pokémon, in the game. Those who purchase tickets will have access to exclusive Special Research tasks, hence a chance to have an encounter with Volcanion.

Additionally, attendees of the in-person events will have early access to Crowned Shield Zacian and Crowned Sword Zamazenta, giving them an opportunity to catch these unique forms ahead of a wider release.
Event Bonuses and Accessories
As with previous years, ticket holders will receive exclusive event bonuses, increased spawn rates for rare Pokémon, and unique field research tasks. The global event, while open to all players, will also offer additional perks to those who purchase tickets in advance. Early buyers will receive extra rewards, though tickets will remain available until the final day of the event.
This year, you can grab exclusive apparel and accessories, but all items must be picked up at the event park on your ticketed day. If you’ve already purchased your ticket and forgotten to add merchandise, you can still do so while supplies last.

A new limited-edition backpack is also available, featuring Pikachu, Gengar, or Wobbuffet designs. If you get one, you’ll also receive a matching in-game avatar item. Note that the lapel pin and backpack are only available in Jersey City and Paris but not in Osaka.
More details regarding event-specific features, additional bonuses, and special Pokémon encounters will be revealed closer to the festival dates. If you are interested, you can purchase tickets through the Pokémon GO app or the official Pokémon GO Fest website.
