The upcoming editions of the Pokémon World Championships are going to be vibrant as the locations for the same have been announced. The 2025 edition of the Pokémon World Championships will be held at Anaheim in 2025, followed by San Francisco in 2026.

The closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships had many announcements to share

After the 2024 Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu, Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, President & CEO of The Pokémon Company, shared several exciting updates during the closing ceremony. As per the announcement, the dates and locations for the next two Pokémon World Championships have been confirmed.

Both are set to happen in California state, US, in two different cities. In 2025, the competition will occur in Anaheim from August 15 to 17, and in the following year, the Pokémon World Championships 2026 event will be held in San Francisco from August 28 to 30. The 2024 edition of the competition was held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Pokémon World Championships is an annual competitive event that brings together top players from around the globe to compete across various Pokémon games including Pokémon UNITE and Pokemon GO. While clinching the prestigious title of being a Pokémon World Champion, the winners also get a chance to earn an invitation to the next year’s event.

Apart from the championship details, the Closing Ceremony also showcased two-sided Pokemon Morpeko coming to Pokémon GO. Pokémon UNITE is set to introduce three new characters: Armarouge, Darkrai, and Psyduck.

Another major announcement was the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, which will launch on October 30, 2024, with pre-registration available now. Additionally, the Pokémon TCG will bring back Trainer’s Pokémon cards, emphasizing the connection between trainers and their Pokémon in 2025.
