Niantic has announced the Pokemon GO Valentines Day 2022 event featuring Flabebe and its evolutions alongside a global challenge and other romantic bonuses.
The special event brings Valentine’s Day-themed items to the game with featured Pokémon, Collection challenges, and more. This event will begin on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. and will run upto Monday, February 14, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Flabebe, Floette, and Florges make their debuts in Pokemon Go
All the way from the Kalos region and Generation VI, the Pokemons Flabebe, Floette, and Florges will be making their way into Pokemon Go. These Pokémon come in five different colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, and white. Flabebe can evolve into Floette with 25 Flabebe Candy. Floette can evolve into Florges with 100 Flabebe Candy after you earn 20 hearts with it as your buddy.
A Global Valentine’s Challenge will be held in the Pokemon Go Valentines Day 2022 Event
Available from Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8), to Tuesday, February 15, at 12:00 a.m. PST (GMT -8), in celebration of Valentine’s Day, a global challenge will be ongoing throughout the event.
Players will have to work with other Trainers around the world by completing the goal of sending 70,000,000 Gifts to their in-game friends. Once Trainers send enough Gifts, they will get to unlock a bonus of 3× Transfer Candy for all Trainers for the remainder of the event.
Also, there will be two Valentine’s Day-themed Collection Challenges. IN this event, players have to complete the Collection Challenges to encounter a female Frillish and a male Frillish.
A new Form Change will be available in this event
For the duration of the Valentine’s Day event, you’ll be able to change your Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou!
You have to follow these steps to change Furfrou’s Trim.
- Furfrou begins in its Natural Form.
- Select Furfrou in your Pokémon storage, and then tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available Trims.
- Select your preferred Trim.
- Changing your Furfrou from one Trim to any other Trim will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.
Special Attacks
During the event period, players will get a chance to evolve Kirlia during the event to get a Gallade or Gardevoir that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise. Gallade and Gardevoir encountered after raids will also know Synchronoise.

The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild.
- Chansey
- Plusle
- Minun
- Volbeat
- Illumise
- Luvdisc
- Woobat
- Red Flower Flabébé
- Blue Flower Flabébé
- Yellow Flower Flabébé
- Natural Form Furfrou
Flabébé with differently colored flowers will be appearing in the wild depending on where you are in the world:
- Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
- Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
However, if you’re lucky, you might encounter the following Pokemons which includes White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé, no matter what region you’re in.

Starting from Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, February 14, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Registeel will be available in the Five-Star Raids of this event. Also, Mega Houndoom Pokemon will be available in the Mega Raids during the same time period of this event.

- Luvdisc
- Ralts

- Frillish (Another version)
