Pokémon Unite to introduce Clefairy as a playable character on October 13, 2022

The fairy Pokemon will be joining the growing roster next month

Clefairy will become the latest Pokemon to join the popular MOBA game, Pokémon UNITE on October 13. The fairy Pokemon’s arrival has been officially confirmed by the developers on Twitter. Although news about the Pokemon’s arrival was already revealed via a datamine leak when some rumors started making rounds online.

Pokémon Unite has become very popular in the last couple of months. The game which was released in 2021 has become a global hit among mobile gamers. The game has a huge player base and gas started making strides in esports. The Pokémon Unite World Championship 2022 saw many teams from around the world competing for a prize pool of 500,000 USD.

Pokémon Unite to diversify its roster with the addition of Clefairy

Originally, the Fairy-type Pokémon was introduced in Generation I. Before its evolution to Generation VI, it was a Normal-type Pokémon. Clefairy starts evolving from Cleffa when boosted by high friendship. After its exposition to Moon Stone, it evolves to Clefable.  

Clefairy is a bipedal, pink Pokémon with a chubby, abstractly star-shaped body. It has a small, pointed tooth protruding from the upper left corner of its mouth. Clefairy is a Fairy type Pokémon and like all other Pokemon in this category, it is weak against Poison and Steel moves.

In the trailer revealed by the developers, we are able to see Clefairy in action where we can see it battling against minions and other Pokemon. During the course of the fighting, it also completes evolution and becomes Clefable as seen in the released footage. Clefairy’s addition will further diversify the game which already boasts of being one of the most popular MOBA games.
