Which team is the best in Pokémon UNITE World?

The 2023 esports year for Pokémon UNITE began in February. Monthly qualifiers started taking place then and as the esports events moved forward, the game crawled to its ultimate showdown. Scheduled to be held in Yokohama, Japan, the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023 will be the year finale event of Pokémon UNITE Esports.

As a part of the World Championship series, four Pokémon esports titles (the Pokémon TCG, Pokémon VGC, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE) will end their 2023’s journey. Being one of those four titles, Pokémon UNITE will join the event as well.

Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023 will start on the 11th of August 2023, and end on the 12th. A total of 31 teams will be battling for a share of half a million dollars in prize money and the title of Pokémon UNITE World Champion.

Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023: Schedule and Format

The event will kick off on the 11th of August and will end on the 12th Of August. Divided into two stages, the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023 will determine the best Pokémon UNITE team in the world. In the group stage, 31 teams will be divided into 8 groups. Following a single round-robin bracket, the matches of the group stage will be held in a BO3 format. The top teams from each group will head to the playoffs.

Playoffs will follow a double elimination bracket and matches will be BO3, except the finals will be a BO5. The winner of the upper bracket quarterfinals will move to the upper bracket semifinals. And, two winning teams from the semi will enter the upper bracket finals. On the other hand, the winning team from the lower bracket finals will move to the grand finals.

Prize Pool

Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023 has half a million dollars as the prize pool. The amount will be divided among the teams based on their final standings. The champion will receive a whopping $100,000. The following teams will also pocket a fair share. The share of teams is as follows.
